In 2017, active produced ‘The Kings - A Love Story’ an intimate documentary for Discovery featuring Joey and Angelina Mead King. In 2018, active added ‘Live Comedy’ to its extensive list of specialised formats and Netflix to its growing number of industry partners with the production of three comedy specials, premiering in all Netflix territories around the world. 

activeTV's flagship event in Australia, Woolworths Carols in the Domain, has been produced in-house for over 30 years and is broadcast nationally on Channel 7 to over 2 million viewers. In 2016, activeTV took under its wing South Australia's largest Christmas event, QBE Insurance Carols by Candlelight. Active also produced the kids' hidden camera hit show ‘PRANK PATROL’ for ABC TV Australia.

activeTV is one of the world’s most experienced production service providers to companies wanting to film in Australia and Asia.  Our experience in facilitation is extensive and we have contacts across both continents allowing us to identify and hire the best local production personnel.  Our contacts also allow us to negotiate the best possible rates. activeTV is recognized by the Department of Immigration and Citizenship (DIAC) in Australia as an official sponsor.

activeTV can provide any of the following services to ensure the smooth run of your production. We tailor our services to suit the specific production requirements of every client.  Our fees are determined on a case-by-case basis so please contact us for further information.

The Amazing Race

‘The Amazing Race’ is an thirteen-time Emmy Award-winning reality series hosted by Emmy Award-nominated host Phil Keoghan, which pits 11 teams, each comprised of two members, against each other on a trek around the world for approximately 25 days. At every destination, each team must compete in a series of challenges, some mental and some physical, and only when the tasks are completed will they learn of their next location. Teams who are the farthest behind will gradually be eliminated as the contest progresses, with the first team to arrive at the final destination winning $1 million.

activeTV have facilitated for three seasons of ‘The Amazing Race’, produced by World Race Productions and broadcast on CBS. Season Two in 2002 saw ‘The Amazing Race’ visit Sydney, Adelaide and Coober Pedy. Brisbane, Cairns, the Sunshine Coast and Sydney were locations during the Fourth Season in 2003. Season Eighteen saw teams travel to Sydney and Broken Hill in 2011.

activeTV also facilitated for 6 episodes of the inaugural ‘The Amazing Race Ukraine’ in 2012.

Chelsea Lately

'Chelsea Lately' is E!'s late-night talk show hosted by comedian and best-selling author, Chelsea Handler. 'Chelsea Lately' opens with a short monologue by Handler, and includes celebrity guest interviews and a roundtable discussing pop culture.

activeTV facilitated for 'Chelsea Lately', produced by Comcast International Media Group and broadcast on E! Entertainment Television, in 2009 and 2011.

activeTV were responsible for organising entertainment visas, liaising with MCAA, and booking crew for the entire studio production in Sydney.

Finding Bigfoot

‘Finding Bigfoot’ investigates compelling evidence that may prove the existence of the elusive creature. This series came to Australia to investigate the sasquatch phenomenon known as "yowies". Legends of bigfoot-type primates persist in cultures all over the globe. With the knowledge of the locals and their own experiences researching sasquatches, the team is hot on the trail to locate these distant cousins of the North American bigfoot.

activeTV facilitated two episodes for ‘Finding Bigfoot’, produced by Snake Oil Productions and broadcast on Animal Planet.

activeTV were responsible for organising all aerial filming in Australia and the shoots in Springbrook National Park on the Gold Coast and Billinudgel Nature Reserve and Sydney in New South Wales. In addition to this, activeTV liaised with the MEAA and provided entertainment visas for the US cast and crew.

How Do I Look?

‘How Do I Look?’ is a makeover show hosted by celebrity stylist Jeannie Mai. A professional stylist is paired with the close friends or relatives of a ‘fashion victim’. Together, they go through the contestant’s entire wardrobe, choosing pieces to throw away. Each one then goes shopping without the contestant’s input for a collection of three looks, complete with hair and makeup options. Once Jeannie and the contestant review all of the collections, the contestant chooses one and wears an outfit in front of their friends and family and exclaims ‘How Do I Look?’.

activeTV facilitated for ‘How Do I Look?’, produced by Comcast International Media Group and broadcast on Style Network. activeTV were responsible for sourcing locations, arranging filming permits, booking all crew, and filming in studio and on location.

World's Toughest Trucker

From carrying fragile loads through the icy, treacherous Indian Himalayas to transporting cattle through the desolate, sun baked roads of the Australian Outback, eight of the world's most experienced truck drivers go head to head in some of the harshest environments on earth.

activeTV facilitated two episodes for ‘World’s Toughest Truckers’ both set in the harsh outback terrain of Queensland.  The series was produced by Dragonfly and broadcast on Discovery and Channel 5.
